Manila, July 6 -- The Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Monday suspended the driver of a sports utility vehicle (SUV) for using an unauthorized temporary plate.

In a statement, LTO chief Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao said a show cause order (SCO) has been issued to the registered owner and driver of a Toyota Fortuner that was photographed with a plate marked "K9-Unit Explosive Detection."

The SUV was traversing McArthur Highway in Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, when it was photographed.
