Legazpi City, Aug. 8 -- The Land Transportation Office in Bicol (LTO-5) began distributing about 200,000 vehicle license plates in the region, addressing the plate backlog.

"The focus of this activity is on the release of backlog plates for vehicles registered in 2017 and earlier, specifically green plates and seven-character license plates, in line with the agency's ongoing efforts to address plate backlogs nationwide," LTO Bicol Regional Director Allan Castillejos said Friday.

Jamie Rose Roperes, spokesperson for LTO Bicol, said they have intensified plate distribution and collaborated with local government units, down to the barangay level, to ensure the release of the plates.
