Manila, March 2 -- The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Monday launched an information drive towards encouraging commuters to report public utility vehicle (PUV)-related abuses.
In a statement, LTFRB chairperson Vigor Mendoza II said the program, dubbed "Komyu-Konek," is in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s order to improve the country's public transport system.
"The instruction of our President is clear: We have to improve the public transport system so that even car owners would be encouraged to commute. That is why we have been conducting aggressive campaigns in that matter, and this program will be a big boost to that goal," Mendoza said.
