LPA, easterlies to drench most of Luzon
MANILA, July 29 -- A huge part of Luzon will experience rains caused by a low pressure area (LPA) and the easterlies, the weather bureau said Wednesday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA, located over the coastal waters of Rapu-Rapu, Albay as of 3 a.m., is unlikely to develop into a tropical cyclone within 24 hours.
However, the LPA will cause scattered rains and thunderstorms across Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, and Marinduque.
Scattered rains and thunderstorms will also prevail across Cagayan and Isabela due to the easterlies.
