Manila, Oct. 23 -- Acting Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez on Thursday ordered the fast-tracking of the demolition of the Metrowalk property and the subsequent construction of the Ortigas Station of the Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP).

During his inspection of the project site, Lopez thanked the construction team for their work and ordered the accelerated completion of the station for the benefit of commuters.

"Tatlong taon nang delayed ito, kailangan mahabol na natin. 'Yun din naman ang utos sa atin ng Pangulo. Bilisan ang construction ng subway (This was delayed for three years; we need to catch up. And that is also the order of the President, accelerate the construction of the subway)," he said.
