Manila, Aug. 28 -- Senator Loren Legarda on Wednesday night announced that all her staff members tested negative for illegal drug use, based on results confirmed by the National Reference Laboratory of the East Avenue Medical Center.

Legarda said the process complied with civil service and health regulations, with results processed under due process.

"We will continue to foster a transparent and responsible work environment, grounded in the public trust that we are privileged to serve," she said in a news release.

The screening last Aug. 20 is in line with workplace drug-free initiatives.
