Malasiqui pangasinan, Aug. 8 -- The La Union provincial government, in cooperation with local government units (LGUs) and various government and non-government organizations, has been carrying out relief response, road clearing operations, and power restoration in typhoon-affected areas as part of its recovery and rehabilitation efforts.
This after Typhoon Emong (international name Co-May) left over PHP6.5 billion worth of damage in the province -- over PHP6 billion in infrastructure; PHP215 million to tourism; PHP276 million to agriculture, and PHP23 million to livestock, based on the latest assessment of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office as of Thursday.
