Korean cyber gambling fugitive intercepted at NAIA - BI
Manila, July 16 -- The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has arrested a 52-year-old Korean national wanted by the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) for allegedly operating a massive illegal online gambling syndicate.
In a news release Thursday, BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said Cho Yungeon, also known as Cho Min, was arrested on July 15 at the departure area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 in Pasay City by operatives of the BI's Fugitive Search Unit, in coordination with South Korean authorities, Philippine National Police-Interpol Group and the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission.
