Kalinga donates 500-hectare land for AFP use
BAGUIO CITY, July 22 -- Kalinga's provincial government has committed 500 hectares of land for military use while reaffirming its support for recruiting more youth into the country's military academies, Governor James Edduba said Wednesday.
Edduba said the province is donating a 500-hectare property in Rizal town to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for training activities or the expansion of its existing military camp in Tabuk City.
"It is a 500-hectare property in the municipality of Rizal. The province is donating it for military use, for training or camp expansion if they desire," he said. "We support the AFP because of its contribution to maintaining peace and order in Kalinga."
