Infra damage from Sarangani quake tops P1.2 billion
Manila, June 17 -- The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Wednesday reported that infrastructure damage from the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that rocked Maasim, Sarangani on June 8 has climbed to PHP1.29 billion.
OCD information officer Diego Mariano, in a message to reporters, said that the number of damaged infrastructures now totaled 774. He did not provide further details.
Meanwhile, damage to agriculture amounted to PHP29.8 million for Davao del Norte and Davao del Sur, Mariano said.
The number of fatalities undergoing verification remained at 68, with missing persons at 33, and injured at 1,339.
