Manila, April 22 -- The local government here got additional funds of over PHP1.41 billion through Supplemental Budget No. 1 approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (City Council) on Wednesday.

City Budget Officer Viminale Capulso said they were able to accumulate the amount from their savings for the 2018 to 2024 period.

She said Mayor Raisa Trenas has instructed them to look for funds because of the energy emergency.

Capulso explained before the members of the city council that out of the total budget, they have allotted some PHP22 million for the implementation of the third tranche of the salary standardization law.
