Manila, July 28 -- Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Alexander "Sandro" Marcos was unanimously elected House of Representatives Majority Leader on Monday during the opening of the First Regular Session of the 20th Congress.
Marcos is tasked with steering the House agenda, uniting the supermajority bloc, and advancing key reforms under the Bagong Pilipinas (New Philippines) vision of his father, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
He will manage floor deliberations, oversee daily House operations, and fast-track priority legislation on economic recovery, education, infrastructure, digital innovation and social equity.
