Manila, Sept. 23 -- The House of Representatives paid tribute to the late Batanes Rep. Ciriaco "Jun" B. Gato Jr., honoring the physician-lawmaker who devoted his life, profession, and public service to his fellow Ivatans while championing healthcare reforms that benefited Filipinos nationwide.

In House Resolution No. 1470 introduced by Speaker Faustino "Bojie" Dy III, Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander "Sandro" Marcos and Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan, the House expressed its profound condolences to Gato's family following his passing on Sept. 21 at the age of 66.
