MANILA, Oct. 3 -- The House of Representatives on Friday adopted a resolution expressing its profound empathy, compassion, and unwavering solidarity with the victims of the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck Cebu and neighboring provinces on Sept. 30.

Under House Resolution (HR) 325, introduced by House Speaker Faustino "Bojie" Dy III, Deputy Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander Marcos, and 4Ps Party-list Rep. Marcelino Libanan, the lawmakers responded to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s call for emergency funds to help the areas devastated by the powerful earthquake.
