Manila, Sept. 8 -- At least 1,625 job vacancies are available for the Handog ng Pangulo Job Fair scheduled on Sept. 14 in Negros Oriental, which will also feature the payout of various government assistance programs, an official said Tuesday.

Alein Serion Balsamo, manager of the Negros Oriental Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and Gender and Development Focal, said the vacancies include 846 local positions and 779 overseas job opportunities.

She said the number of available positions could still increase before the job fair.
