Manila, July 21 -- A huge part of the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by the southwest monsoon or habagat, the weather bureau said Tuesday.

Affected areas are Mindanao, Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, and Batangas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

The rest of the country will also experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said severe thunderstorms could result in flash floods or landslides.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail throughout the archipelago.
