COTABATO CITY, Oct. 23 -- The military assigned to the Special Geographic Area of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (SGA-BARMM) in North Cotabato has deployed a sizable force to separate warring Moro families that clashed since Wednesday, leaving one dead.
Lt. Col. Erwin Jay Dumaghan, commander of the Army's 40th Infantry Battalion (40IB), said a company-sized unit is currently in the village of Barongis, Ligawasan town in the SGA.
"The groups are locked in a long-standing family feud over territorial issues," Dumaghan said in a statement on Thursday.
