Manila, Oct. 24 -- The Philippine government is ready to counter any attempts to destabilize the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., Malacanang said on Friday.

In a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the government is fully prepared for any actions that may be planned against the administration.

"Handa naman po ang gobyerno sa anumang maaaring balakin nila (The government is ready to respond to any schemes they might be plotting)," Castro said, when asked to respond to claims that the Philippines might experience political unrest similar to the situation in Myanmar.
