Manila, Aug. 11 -- The number of houses damaged by the effects of the southwest monsoon and tropical cyclones Crising, Dante, and Emong in late July has climbed to 108,358, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Monday.
In its latest situational report, the NDRRMC said out of the total number of damaged houses, 97,508 were classified as "partially damaged" and 10,850 as "totally damaged."
Region 1 (Ilocos Region) has the most number of damaged houses at 101,849 - 92,108 "partially damaged" and 9,831 "totally damaged."
The estimated cost of damaged houses was at PHP6,256,375, the NDRRMC report said.
