Manila, Oct. 27 -- Senator Francis Pangilinan on Monday said he is set to meet with several agencies and begin building and filing non-bailable charges against persons involved in agricultural smuggling.

Pangilinan, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Food, and Agrarian Reform, said he would meet with the Department of Justice (DOJ), the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Office of the Ombudsman, following an inspection of two 40-foot containers at the Manila International Container Port containing misdeclared frozen chicken breasts and fish balls worth PHP12.96 million.
