Manila, July 16 -- Generally fair weather will prevail across the country Thursday, with isolated rain showers expected due to the southwest monsoon (habagat) and localized thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

In its 5 a.m. advisory, PAGASA said no low-pressure area is expected to develop inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility over the next four to five days.

Weather specialist Leanne Loreto said Luzon will experience warm and humid conditions, except for Batanes and the Babuyan Islands, where the southwest monsoon (habagat) may bring isolated rains.
