MANILA, Sept. 28 -- The country will experience generally fair weather on Sunday as Typhoon Bualoi (formerly Opong) is now in the vicinity of Vietnam, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said Opong is now located 1,075 km. west of Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 120 km. per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 150 kph.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said Opong is no longer affecting the country, except for the southwest monsoon (habagat) along the offshore of Palawan.
