Manila, Sept. 27 -- Local disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) offices in five Benguet towns and two Mountain Province municipalities received fuel supply to sustain road-clearing and relief operations in the aftermath of recent typhoons.

Bakun, Sablan, Tuba, Itogon and La Trinidad in Benguet, along with Sabangan and Bauko in Mountain Province, were allotted part of 6,100 liters of gasoline donated by Aboitiz Renewables, a subsidiary of Aboitiz Power.

The fuel assistance will be used to power heavy equipment clearing debris and reopening access roads.
