India, May 23 -- First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Saturday emphasized the need to give soldiers and their families improved access to healthcare services.

In a social media post, Araneta-Marcos recognized the sacrifices made by government troops to fulfill their mandate of protecting the country.

"Behind every uniform is a Filipino who serves with courage, sacrifice, and love for country," she said.

"Our soldiers care for our nation every day. It is only right that care reaches them, too."

Araneta-Marcos led the turnover of 11 mobile laboratory vans to the Philippine Army in a ceremony in Taguig on Wednesday.
