Manila, Aug. 17 -- Japan B.League One team Fighting Eagles Nagoya reigned supreme in the National Student Athletes Championship (NSAC) World Invitational, ruling the three-day event with a 92-91 win against the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in the championship game on Sunday night at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

As the lone professional club in the eight-team tournament that pitted its opponent and three other Philippine collegiate squads against representatives from Japan, Taiwan, and Australia, Nagoya capitalized on late UST turnovers to preserve the win just as the latter was closing in on a huge upset.
