Manila, Sept. 14 -- Except for localized thunderstorms, fair weather will prevail across the country on Monday, the weather bureau said.

In its 5 a.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said it is monitoring a low-pressure area (LPA), which has no direct effect yet on any part of the country as it is located 3,200 km. east of Eastern Visayas.
