Manila, July 25 -- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) urged employees who were forced to work during inclement weather over the past days may report their employers for possible violations of Republic Act (RA) 11058 or the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Law.

"We encourage them to report by visiting our offices, which are present in all provinces and regions," Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC) Director Alvin Curada said at the Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon briefing on Friday.

"If workers are made to work during weather disturbances or natural calamities and are not provided with personal protective equipment, they may be subject to an administrative fine under RA 11058," the chief of the BWC, which is under the DOLE, added....
