Manila, May 1 -- The prevailing easterlies will continue to bring warm and humid weather across the country on Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its 4 a.m. advisory, the weather bureau said Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, and Davao Oriental will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also caused by the easterlies.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said 11 areas are expected to experience a "danger level" of heat index, including Dagupan City, where the heat index is forecast at 43C.
