DSWD Walang Gutom Kitchen serves 1.6K Zamboanguenos
ZAMBOANGA CITY, July 27 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development's (DSWD) Walang Gutom Kitchen (WGK) series has already served 1,626 Zamboanguenos since its June 29 launch.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. himself led the opening of the WGK in Barangay Tetuan here, expanding the government's flagship anti-hunger program as part of efforts to ensure that no Filipino goes hungry.
The particular launch is the first in Mindanao and the third nationwide. The other two are in Pasay City and Cebu City.
Jamaica Dollete, WGK focal person, said in a statement Monday that the WGK is where the hungry can eat for free.
