Manila, Oct. 1 -- In line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s deep commitment to comfort the families and individuals affected by the 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Cebu, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will provide burial assistance to families whose loved ones were among the fatalities in Tuesday's tremor.

Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao of the DSWD's Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) said the Department's Field Office 7 - Central Visayas will also be providing PHP10,000 cash assistance to the families who lost their loved ones.
