Manila, Feb. 6 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is strengthening the delivery of social protection services through the adoption of open-source digital public goods (DPGs), the report published by the Digital Public Goods Alliance (DPGA) said.

The January 2026 report, entitled "Building Open Digital States: Country Case Studies on the Impact of DPGs for Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)," examined how several countries in the Global South are leveraging DPGs to modernize government systems and improve public service delivery.
