DSWD continues nationwide social pension payout for indigent seniors
Manila, June 10 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to intensify its nationwide payout of social pension to indigent senior citizens as part of the Marcos government's broader efforts to uphold their welfare and dignity.
As of June 9, the Department has served a total of 3,403,182 beneficiaries in the first quarter of 2026 and 1,286,658 in the second quarter.
Among the regions with the highest number of beneficiaries served are Northern Mindanao with 162,663; Central Visayas with 156,131; Eastern Visayas with 152,371; Mimaropa with 147,482; Soccsksargen with 145,875; and Caraga with 114,693.
