Manila, June 10 -- The driver of a sports utility vehicle (SUV) involved in a hit-and-run incident that injured a member of the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) has surrendered to authorities, HPG chief Brig. Gen. Rommel Batangan said Wednesday.

In a press briefing, Batangan said the 21-year-old Indian-Filipino suspect from Marikina City surrendered to the HPG on Tuesday, three days after the incident along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) that injured Patrolman Jeric Aya-ay.
