Manila, Oct. 24 -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has inked an agreement with civil society groups, including Church-based organizations, in a bid to strengthen the monitoring of infrastructure projects in the country amid the flood control mess.

DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon together with the leaders of Caritas Philippines, an advocacy arm of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), Mayors for Good Governance (M4GG), and Taongbayan's Action for Participatory, Accountable, and Transparent Governance (TAPAT) signed a memorandum of cooperation (MOC) on Friday at the Novotel Cubao in Quezon City.
