Manila, March 26 -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Thursday assured that the works on the damaged flood control structure in Talisay City, Cebu will be completed in two months.
During the inspection of the damaged infrastructure along the Mananga River, Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon said he got the assurance from the local government unit and DPWH officials that the rebuilding of the structure will be completed by June.
"The President asked me to come back to make sure that our reconstruction is fast. I have the assurance of our Regional Director, through the help of Governor (Pamela Baricuatro) and Mayor Samsam (Gullas), that we will finish before June," he said.
