Manila, Feb. 20 -- As part of ongoing efforts to beef up the country's cyber defenses, personnel of the Department of National Defense (DND) and Armed Forces of the Philippines took part in a two-day United Kingdom-hosted maritime cybersecurity training aimed at boosting the Philippines' cyber defense posture within the maritime domain.

DND spokesperson Assistant Secretary Arsenio Andolong, in a statement Friday, said the event ran in Taguig from Feb. 18 to 19 and was jointly sponsored by the UK Embassy Manila, led by Pip Morgan, National Security Lead, and the University of Plymouth.
