Manila, Sept. 29 -- The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is preparing food, water and financial assistance for about 50 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who sought help amid flooding and torrential rains in Bangkok, Thailand.

Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac said Monday evening that the Philippine Embassy in Thailand and the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Bangkok are coordinating with affected OFWs to determine their immediate needs.

"May mga 50 OFWs na humingi ng tulong sa atin. Sa tamang panahon (There are about 50 OFWs who have asked for our help. In due time), we will provide the necessary assistance they need," Cacdac said in a social media post.
