DILG urges LGUs to use UP-developed sexual assault probe kits
Manila, Aug. 27 -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has urged local government units (LGUs) to adopt the use of Sexual Assault Investigation Kits (SAI.Kit) to aid investigations involving child sexual assault cases.
The SAI.Kit is a tool developed by the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) DNA Analysis Laboratory of the Natural Sciences Research Institute (NSRI) to help address sexual assault incidents through forensic science and technology.
