Manila, Oct. 21 -- Cities and municipalities nationwide have been ordered to establish dedicated Business Permits and Licensing Offices (BPLOs) and permanent licensing positions to simplify business transactions, attract investments, and strengthen local economies, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said on Tuesday.

In a new release, the DILG said a dedicated Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) serves as a centralized hub for business permit issuance, establishment inspections, payment processing, and local revenue collection, helping businesses navigate government requirements more efficiently.
