Tacloban City, July 28 -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) regional office here will pioneer the Regional Seal of Good Local Governance Champions (RSGLGC), a regional program that complements the national Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

In a statement on Monday, DILG Eastern Visayas Regional Director Arnel Agabe said their office will roll out the regional program by monitoring and recognizing good local governance while the SGLG is undergoing recalibration.

"The RSGLGC serves as a regional mechanism that complements the national SGLG program by encouraging innovation and excellence among local government units (LGUs) in Eastern Visayas," Agabe said.
