Manila, Aug. 23 -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) expressed full support for local government units (LGUs) offering free medical services to their constituents, describing these initiatives as vital in ensuring the public's access to healthcare.
In Quezon City, Barangay Pinyahan has rolled out its medical services, offering residents free consultations, medicines and preventive care.
Similar programs are being implemented in other LGUs nationwide as part of efforts to bring health services closer to the people.
