BAGUIO CITY, March 23 -- The Department of Information and Communications Technology in Cordillera Administrative Region (DICT-CAR) has deployed an online price monitoring and reporting system, as part of efforts against profiteering amid surging fuel costs triggered by the Middle East conflict.

DICT-CAR regional director Jimmicio Daoaten, in a phone interview on Monday, said the "monitoring platform has been deployed and is being managed by the Management Information and Technology Division (MITD)" of the city government.

He said the platform was created by the DICT and was presented to the Local Price Coordinating Council (LPCC) led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong, who approved its deployment.
