Manila, Sept. 23 -- The Department of Education (DepEd) on Tuesday reported "significant progress" in its use of artificial intelligence (AI) under the Education Center for AI Research (ECAIR).
This followed the release of ECAIR's midyear report, which highlighted improvements in several digital tools, including Project TALINO, Project DUNONG and Project SALIKSEEK.
In a news release, Education Secretary Sonny Angara said AI has helped the agency enhance transparency by setting up a data-driven system.
"Hindi lamang ito tungkol sa teknolohiya, kundi sa pagtutuwid ng ating sistema (This is not just about technology, but also reforming the system)," he said.
