Manila, Sept. 18 -- The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is urging Filipinos to address waste at its source as the country is set to hold the 2026 International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) on Saturday in 17 regions nationwide.

DENR Assistant Secretary for Strategic Communications Rochelle Elena Gamboa on Friday said the annual cleanup should not focus only on the effort to collect as much trash as possible, but on the change the initiative could create.
