DAVAO CITY, Oct. 6 -- To further raise public awareness about the areas traversed by the Central Davao Fault System, the Office of Civil Defense-Davao, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, and City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) conducted a "walk-the-fault" activity in Barangay Mintal on Monday.

CDRRMO head Alfredo Baloran said the activity focused on the Lacson fault line. The agencies also launched an information drive to educate the public about earthquake-prone zones in the city.

"This is already the fourth time. We started in 2019 and last year we completed the Dacudao fault," Baloran said in an interview.
