Manila, April 23 -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) is consolidating oversight of two major World Bank-backed reform programs under a single project management office (PMO), a move aimed at tightening coordination, accelerating delivery, and raising the stakes for execution across a complex bureaucracy.
In a department order signed by Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., the DA created the joint PMO for the Philippines Sustainable Agriculture Transformation (PSAT) Program and the Technical Assistance for Sustainable Agricultural Transformation (TASAT) Project.
Both are funded through Official Development Assistance from the World Bank.
