Manila, Oct. 27 -- A police lieutenant colonel was nabbed for illegally bringing out a detainee from a jail facility in Caloocan City.

A report submitted to Camp Crame said the suspect, Lt. Col. Emmanuel Gomez, chief of Northern Police District Special Operations Unit (NPD SOU), was arrested on Sunday night.

"I ordered relief. Filing of criminal and administrative charges (against the cop)," National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin told the Philippine News Agency on Monday when sought for a comment,
