Manila, Sept. 25 -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is likely to postpone the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections (BPE) which is scheduled on Oct. 13.
Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said they will come up with a decision next week, as they still need to discuss important matters.
"We will decide next week (but) the process will start today. Section 5 is strict. This is delegated power. We want to follow the correct process before we get to the declaration. Importantly, next week is Sept. 30. Therefore, the election is only 13 days away," he said.
