Manila, July 14 -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has started conducting the trusted build for the automated election system (AES) to be used in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections (BPE) in October.
"Trusted build" is the process of assembling the overall program that will govern the entire AES using the reviewed components.
Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said in an interview Monday that the trusted build is being conducted as they modified the source code, which is defined as the human-readable instructions that define what the computer equipment will do.
