Manila, Dec. 30 -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is ending 2025, an election year, on a positive note, as it reported an orderly and credible voting process and high turnout of voters. It looks forward to more success as it prepares for two elections in 2026.

The poll body held national and local elections on May 12, participated in by over 82 percent or close to 60 million registered voters.

Elected were 12 members of the Senate of the Philippines namely Bong Go, Bam Aquino, Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa, Erwin Tulfo, Francis Pangilinan, Rodante Marcoleta, Ping Lacson, Tito Sotto, Pia Cayetano, Camille Villar, Lito Lapid and Imee Marcos.
